Cloud costs and FinOps

We make spend visible by team and product, then assess resource sizing, unused capacity and purchasing options using measured consumption.

Reducing a cloud bill has to account for the capacity an application needs, so we assess sizing and purchasing options against performance targets. For each recommendation we state which usage data it rests on and how it may affect performance.

Scope of service

  • Tagging discipline and showback or chargeback by team and environment
  • Idle resource detection: unattached disks, idle IPs, forgotten snapshots
  • Right-sizing and autoscaling
  • Commitment evaluation for Savings Plans and Reserved Instances
  • Kubernetes cost allocation by namespace and team
  • Storage tiering and data lifecycle policies
  • Spend anomaly alerts and budget thresholds
  • GPU utilization and idle time tracked for accelerated workloads

Cost visibility and automation

We make spend visible by team, service and environment through tagging policies and shared cost allocation rules. While preserving reliability and recovery targets, we automate scaling policies, non-production environment lifecycles and budget alerts, and size MIG-capable GPU workloads per slice rather than full cards.
